Guilty Pleasure TV Shows - Teen Drama Edition

I'm not afraid to admit that I love sitting in my PJs with a nice glass of wine and binge watching various teen dramas.
I guess you could kind of say that they're a guilty pleasure of mine. As a 24 year old adult, I could probably find something more productive to do with my time, but no thanks. I like shipping two of my favourite characters together. Wondering who the hell Gossip Girl is; is Ryan going to stay with the Cohens? Ugh. I love it. Investing my emotions into fake drama instead of worrying about my own life. It's so good.

Without further a do, here are some of my favourite teen dramas to indulge in.

THE OC

The OC will forever be my favourite teen drama show and one of my favourite shows of all time.
I can't even say why I love it so much. I think it's the characters. I love Seth's sarcasm and Sandy's bushy brows. I ship Ryan/Marissa and Summer/Seth until the end! I don't think I can count how many times I've seen this show - at least every year I need to re watch it. I like pretend that the fourth season doesn't exist though. Spoiler alert: Marissa can't be dead. Also, Taylor Townsend and Ryan?!?! NOPE.

RIVERDALE

Much like everyone else, I've joined the Riverdale hype. It is a very far cry from the comic books that the characters are based on, however, it is a good show. Ships? Bughead and Varchie? Archonica? Whatever.
I liked the first season with the whole Jason mystery. I don't love this Black Hood story line as much, but I'm hoping it will prove me wrong.

GOSSIP GIRL

I have a weird hate/love relationship with GG. I kept watching it because I started and I really wanted to know who GG was. I loved Blair and Serena and their lives. I liked Chuck Bass and seeing him turn into a semi decent person. Dan was just Dan. And I hated Jenny. I always shipped Chair and Sate? Narena? I need to work on my ship names. SPOILER ALERT: I will never ever ever like the fact that they made Dan Gossip Girl. It literally makes ZERO sense.

GILMORE GIRLS

I'm currently watching Gilmore Girls and loving it! I know it's not your typical teenage drama, but Rory is a teen and there is drama. So there. I like the dynamic between Rory and Lorelai. I wish I was that close with my mom. If I'm ever a mom, I want to have a close relationship with my daughter. Maybe not quite as intense as theirs though. I also like that this show isn't as heavy as some other dramas I've listed. It's a bit more light and easier (for lack of a better word) to watch. Now, this is my first time watching it. I know, alarming. But I can tell that I already love it. Hence why it's on this list. 



I've also never seen One Tree Hill (gasp!) I know, I know, have I been living under a rock?! Nope. Just very invested in The OC that I never got around to OTH. Maybe I'll make that my next teen drama to watch.
